Only God knows the future.  In Isaiah 46:10, the LORD declares, “I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’” In Isaiah 42:9, God announces, “See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you.” So, according to these Scriptures, only God has perfect knowledge of future events, and those events that he wants us to know about he has revealed for us in the Scriptures. Does Satan know the future? Satan only knows the future which has been revealed in the Bible.  Satan doesn’t know what will happen us next Saturday at 10am, but, God does. Only God is omniscient, which means only God is all-knowing.

On Sunday, September 7 we will begin an eight week sermon series called JESUS & THE END TIMES.  The focus will be a verse-by-verse examination of Matthew 24 and 25,  known as the Olivet Discourse.  Matthew 24 & 25 contains  the most comprehensive and detailed teaching of Christ on the end times.

Here’s a breakdown of the themes and Scriptures associated with this sermon series.

• Week 8: The Separation of the Sheep & the Goats (Matthew 25:31-46)
