Since 1914, Onward has been a light to the community of Verdun and South West Montreal. With a heart for Christ and for people, as it’s foundation, Onward has demonstrated the power that a small local church can be used by the Lord to make a real difference both here and around the world. The influence of Onward has been felt in many parts of the world though the more than 30 missionaries that it has sent out and supported over the years, and the outreach into the community that it continues to support. For many years, Onward Gospel Church blessed Montreal with its Sunday evening radio show.
Throughout the years, Onward has actively supported the Lord’s work in Quebec. In 1939 Onward planted Grace Church in LaSalle (since moved to Verdun), and in 1942 it planted Bethany Hope Chapel of Pointe St Charles.
Onward Gospel Church has been a member of the Associated Gospel Churches of Canada since 1946.
