Glenda shares how she became a Christian. Originally shared at her baptism on Nov.10, 2019, here is her story.

My name is Glenda Alvarez and today, I would like to share with you my joy and love for Jesus, my Saviour. When I was a baby, I was baptized as a Catholic.  I was raised following all the Catholic commandments such as believing, adoring and loving God, but I felt always apart from Him. Throughout my lifetime, I realized that Jesus has always been opening my path with blessings. He gave me my wonderful husband who has loved Jesus with all his heart since he was very young. He gave me my beautiful children when everybody believed that I would never have them due to fertility issues. He gave me the opportunity to say the last goodbye to my father before he passed away, 13 days after a terrible accident. He gave me my professional career. He opened the doors for many opportunities and even, he gave me the opportunity to meet Sarah, in my nursing class, who invited me to Onward. Now, I realize that that Sarah was an instrument of God for opening my eyes and teaching me the real path of redemption, which is faith in Christ. My heart is now filled with faith in our Saviour, who has shown me that that everything is possible for the one who believes. Jesus’ work is really a miracle because He engages not only me as His disciple, but also my beautiful family. In July 2019, I accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Saviour. Today, I am choosing to go public with my faith and to share my joy and commitment to Him. I would like to thank all of you for being with me in this significant day that will mark a new start for my life, as well as for my family.
